Everyone is speaking about the oscarised actress Olivia Colman - who totally deserved this award! - and the very lovely David Tennant who both were present at the Up Next Gala organised by the National Theatre but they weren't the only ones to be present to this very important event for the arts. Our boy showed up in a black suit with a white shirt and a black tie, beard and hair on point on the 'red carpet' of the theatre and expressed himself on the fact that arts are a closed field for people coming from a working class movement like him. He added that he had been lucky to go through at a time where it was easier and that this time is sadly over.

The Up Next Gala was an event created by the National Theatre to raise awareness and money for this cause that is very important to the heart of Chris, but also to other people like Billie Piper, David Tennant, Charles Dance or even Olivia Colman who were all present on that night of March 2019. The guests were all invited to a dinner on the stage of the theatre where artists were performing their arts to show off their skills.

“Obviously, the National Theatre, standing on the South Bank in London, it’s the National Theatre’s job to change that. I’m here tonight to help make access to the arts more democratic.”
