"No matter how big a name you are, how many big series you've been in or how good looking you are, in the end, all actors are secondary to the writer."

January 2019

Known for his love of literature and his regular appearances to literary events such as the London Literature Festival (2016), Radical Readings (2016), The Refugee Tales (2018) or a contribution to the Shakespeare Institute (2018), Christopher Eccleston also likes reading live on radio (George Orwell's Nineteen eighty-four) or recording audio versions of books he liked (A.J. Hartley's Cold Bath Street).
For this very reason, it wasn't surprising to have him announced as a guest for the Quantum 2019 that will happen on Monday 11 March.

Quantum is a literary conference that gather speakers and attendees from twenty-five nations around the world. It happens on the third day of the London Book Fair. This year, it'll be all about "the pressing publishing challenges, opportunities, good practice and the state of the global publishing scene". Some of the themes that will be broached this year are: non-fiction; audio; independent publishing; AI and machine learning; voice first book discovery.

Chris has been announced as a speaker for this conference. He will speak during the Audiobooks: Innovative Strategies, Tactics & Inspiration panel. As the author A.J. Hartley and the professor in publishing Debbie Williams have also been announced as speakers, a talk about Chris recent work on Cold Bath Street might happen...
